Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Nodhpothi mobile application and related services (“Service”). By downloading, accessing, or using Nodhpothi, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Nodhpothi is designed for families and individuals managing their own wedding contribution records. Please use it responsibly and only for lawful purposes.

Nodhpothi is a free digital record-keeping app for Gujarati wedding contributions. The Service allows you to create events, add guests, record contributions such as Chandlo, Mamera, Vasan, Pas Pidhi, and Aana, view running totals and dashboards, and export your data as PDF or Excel files.

Currently, the Service is offered entirely free of charge, with unlimited weddings and unlimited entries. We may add features over time, but the core record-keeping experience will remain free.

To use certain features, you may need to create an account. When you register, you agree to provide accurate and complete information, and to keep your account details up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

If you suspect that your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately so we can help secure it.

You agree to use Nodhpothi only for lawful purposes and for managing your own family events. You may not use the Service to:

• Harass, impersonate, or mislead others.
• Upload or distribute harmful, illegal, or offensive content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or exploit the app beyond its intended use.
• Interfere with the security, stability, or availability of the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or otherwise harm the Service or other users.

You retain full ownership of the wedding, guest, and contribution data you enter into Nodhpothi. This includes names, amounts, contribution types, notes, and event details. You grant us a limited license to use, store, and process that data solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service for you.

We do not claim ownership of your content, and we will not use it for any purpose beyond providing the app to you and your family.

Nodhpothi is currently 100% free. There is no payment required to use the app, create unlimited weddings, add unlimited entries, or export PDF and Excel reports.

If we introduce optional paid plans or features in the future, we will communicate any changes clearly in advance. Any paid features will not be applied retroactively, and the free record-keeping features you already use will remain available.

Nodhpothi is a record-keeping tool. You are responsible for the accuracy of the names, amounts, contribution types, and other details you enter. While we strive to make the app reliable and easy to use, we do not verify the accuracy of your data or any calculations you rely on.

We encourage you to review your entries before exporting reports or sharing them with family members.

We do our best to keep Nodhpothi available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation at all times. The Service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control.

Speech-to-text functionality depends on your device’s operating system and may not work perfectly in noisy environments or with every accent. Typed entry is always available as a reliable fallback.

The Nodhpothi name, logo, brand assets, design, and software are owned by us and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use our name, logo, or design without our prior written permission, except as reasonably necessary to identify the app to family members.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

You may stop using Nodhpothi at any time. You may also request deletion of your account and data by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in harmful conduct.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, through the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
